Britain has voted to leave the European Union on Thursday's landmark referendum which showed a near 52-48 percent split for leaving a bloc it joined more than 40 years ago. This has forced the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron. It is considered as the biggest blow to the European project of greater unity since World War Two. Global financial markets plunged on Friday as results of the referendum. It is not certain how long it would have the impact on the global financial markets.
