I was in the middle of a mindful evening walk. Looking up, I saw Not one single star shining in this bruised sky. The moon had hidden behind mauve colored clouds, and could not share it's bright reflected light. Instead, shades of lavender, plum, orchid and violet - (We talk of sky and not of fruit or flowers) - hover over the horizon, making the world look and feel like a blossoming hematoma. I wait for the deep evening darkness, to creep in then turn this world black.
