Today the sun rose again at Cannes. I started the day watching "Two days, one night"; directed by Jean Pierre and Luc Dardenne.
It´s a pretty slow movie, with a good performance by Marion Cotillard, but the plot and the scenes were a little bit repetitive for me. It will have its audience because it´s not a bad film at all, but it didn´t work that much for me!
Later I had to move to the Short Film Corner, I had booked a private screening room to play Sinnside on a big screen. The room was not too big and the quality of the video-audio wasn´t the best either but I was able to make many people come to watch it under the sentence: "did you ever watch a fashion horror film?". Many persons were interested on the "fashion horror" and came to join us in the screening, we had fun and there were many applauses in the end.
After that I went to the Happy Hour to meet some other shortfilm directors and then off to a private Polish Cinema Party at the Grand Hotel. We had so much fun and made some really interesting contacts.
Then, off to the beach to watch Walter Hill´s "The Warriors" while eating a big ice cream. It was a great experience! I love screenings at the beach.
