In my previous blog, I shared the first islet of Caramoan which is the Lahos Island - one of the spots where the filming of the Survivor challenges took place. As I mentioned in the previous article, Lahos Island alone as for myself made my whole Caramoan trip worth the travel. I enjoyed the powdery sand, the clear-calm and rough waters of the two beaches on the island. Being on the filming site of the Survivor was a good way of having a vivid recollection of the episodes especially the challenges aired on television. There are even remnants of the paraphernalia used during those challenges. The photo above is the obligatory pose of the group which we always do on every travel we did and for this Caramoan: Island Hopping Adventure.
This second part of the article will allow you to see the other islets of Caramoan that we explored during our island hopping adventure. These are the islets that we ticked off from the wander lusters list and made Caramoan's tourism industry blooms. Let me begin my island hopping adventure in Caramoan.
CARAMOAN ISLANDS
(1) LAHOS ISLAND

As a recap, this is the other part of Lahos Island that I mentioned in the first part of my Caramoan: Home of the Survivor blog. The part where the water is rough compared to the other side which is so calm. Being able to enjoy nature's wonders is what all that matters on an island trip. Just by a simple splash from the wave behind us made each and every one of us a child-like by giggling, laughing, and letting out the fun.

Here is a video of Lahos island recorded by Bill Soliano. The video is covered on their way to Lahos island. Make sure to watch the video until the end so you can see the 360 degrees view of the island. Here you can see how this island is called "Lahos" (pass through) beach.
(2) BAG-ING ISLAND

There is a twin beach in Caramoan and these are Bag-ing Beach and Sabitang Laya Beach that can be found on one island. Bag-ing is the drop-off point (if you can see the triggered boat in the photo) before reaching the other twinnie - Sabitang Laya. This island is also ideal for camping site as per our tour guide. In order for you to reach Sabitang Laya, you need to walk all the way to the long stretch of white sands of Bag-ing as you can see in the photo.
(3) SABITANG LAYA ISLAND

You will know you reached Sabitang Laya if you see these rock formations. This is what makes the beach split into two and why it's called the twin beaches. Behind these rocks are more rock formations and where you can find the entrance to Sabitang Laya.

As we go farther and before reaching the end of the rock formations we took some snaps on the rocks. It was a fun photo shot and there are a lot of photos that I'd like to share on this blog but I only chose what it seems to be the best for me.

Finally, we have reached the entrance to the twin beach of Bag-ing which is the Sabitang Laya. There is a curved entrance shape on the rock that serves as a gate to the beach. I had no idea if it's manmade but as what I saw, it is by chance a geologic formation. Passing through to this curve door like can give you a full access to the 2 kilometers powdery white sand of the beach and dip into the cool sea water.

Welcome to Sabitang Laya. The diameter of the arched shaped entrance to the Sabitang Laya beach is quite small. It can fit from a petite sized person to a medium sized one as you can see in the photo above. For the bigger sized person (not to offend anyone) you can pass through the entrance by walking sideways.

Sabitang Laya is one of the most sought-after islands in Caramoan. This island has a long stretch beach with a fine powdery sand that you can walk hand in hands with your special someone, in a group or even when you're alone. The approximate length of the sand according to our tour guide is about 2km. I'd love to explore the end of the white sand but as usual time constraint is always the number one restraint when exploring the unexplored.
Just last week there was a news in our local television news program that an incident happened in one of the islets of Caramoan particularly in Sabitang Laya where a Fil-Italian child swimmer died in shallow waters because of box jellyfish. For the full story, you can click this link. I'd like to mention this in my blog not to scare or so but for the readers to be more cautious in dipping into the sea not only Sabitang Laya but for the rest of the beaches or islands in the world that you planning to go to.

Here is an aerial view of Sabitang Laya recorded by Jeffrey Roque. Here you can see the longevity of the white sand of the island though you can't see much of the rock formations at least you will have an idea of what I was talking about regarding the 2-kilometer white sands of the island.
(4) MINALAHOS ISLAND

This was our first destination during our Caramoan island hopping adventure. The land area of the island is quite small as compared to the other islands that I've shown. As you can see in the photo, the white sand is not as wide as the other three beaches mentioned above. There is only one similarity that you can see on this island that is comparable to the other islands and that is the rock formations.

There is nothing much that we can do in Minalahos Island so we just had our obligatory pose on the rock. Literally, it's a rock climbing and it was a bit fun. Right after a few snaps we went down and had our first quick dip in our Caramoan island hopping adventure.
END NOTE
While writing the Sabitang Laya part it made me realize that it was a blessing in disguise that we were running out of time because if not we will have the tendency to dip longer into the water and who knows one of us might get stung of that box jellyfish. Be that as it may, we should always be cautious in everything that we do. We should not solely rely upon to the tour guides, though they are called tour guides for a reason, sometimes self-knowledge goes a long way. I learned that before traveling it is best to read more articles about the place to visit at least you will know what to bring and what to be cautioned about.
This isn't the end of my Caramoan island hopping adventure, it is just the beginning. There are still three islands that I will be covering for my next blog. Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog.
Before I end this blog take a few minutes to answer this survey in Querlo.
