If you are one of the many speculating the return of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher to a galaxy far, far away, speculate no more! The trio will reprise their original roles in the franchise for director J.J. Abrams' sequel. Who's joining them? Adam Driver and his fellow "Inside Llewyn Davis" co-star Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Andy Serkis (yay!), Domhnall Gleeson, and the great Max Von Sydow. Sorry folks, their respective roles were not revealed as of press time.
Abrams revealed that, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode VII.' It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again."
They will start shooting in a couple of weeks and Abrams reassured that they will do their best to make the fans proud!
Of course, we all know that Ford is Han Solo, Hamill is Luke Skywalker, and Fisher is Princess Leia. And there are rumors around that Ford will have a huge role in the sequel! Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) will aslo return.
Abrams co-wrote the script with Lawrence Kasdan. "Star Wars: Episode VII" will fly into theaters on Dec. 18, 2015 -- few more sleeps!
