مردم افغانستان نگران این هستند که امریکا همانند دهه 90 میلادی بعد از سال 2014 میلادی افغانستان را ترک می کند، حالا آقای کری که خودرا همیشه حامی دموکراسی ومردم افغانستان می خواند مورد اعتماد افغان ها قرارگرفته است ومردم افغانستان امیدوار اند که این مرد بتواند مقام ها درکاخ سفید را قناعت دهد که چندسال دیگر هم حکومت ایالات متحده امریکا درکنار مردم افغانستان بماند.
از سوی دیگر، سیاست های جان کری در قبال پاکستان وایران نیز با استقبال مردم افغانستان قرار گرفته است.
آقای کری همواره در سخنرانی های خود پاکستان را حامی اصلی تروریزم خوانده وخواستار حمله نظامی بر لانه های تروریستان در خاک پاکستان شده است.
پاکستان درچند سال گذشته به حیث حامی تروریزم، تروریستان را در آن کشور آموزش میدهد وبرای حمله برنیروهای امریکایی وافغان به افغانستان میفرستد که این باعث بی باوری مردم افغانستان نسبت به پاکستان شده وهرافغان به دید یک دشمن به پاکستان می بیند.
حالا با انتخاب شدن جان کری به حیث وزیر حارجه ایالات متحده امریکا، مردم افغانستان امیدوارهستند که روابط بین دوکشور بیشتر از همیشه بهترشود.
