How are you all?
I’m here with my 4th blog which is about my beautiful city and its amazing and beautiful locations, or you can say visiting points. I will first tell you a brief introduction to my city. Its name is Chakwal and it is very beautiful.
About Chakwal

Chakwal is a beautiful city which is located almost 22 KM away from the M2 motorway interchange. This city is only 100Km away from the major city of Pakistan Rawalpindi and the capital city of Pakistan Islamabad. Chakwal area is very beautiful surrounded by lakes and mountains. Chakwal has various historical points which are known from ages. It also has some historical buildings which are connected with the old time of Mughal Emperors.

Chakwal is also very famous because mostly army soldiers are from Chakwal. It is also said the land of soldiers. Chakwal city is a district and it has four unions further connected with it. It has all type of facilities like hospital, university, and library.

Chakwal city has very beautiful weather. We enjoy all the seasons. Winter seasons starts usually in November and continues until the end of February. Summer season is also very hot. It starts in April and continues through September.
The culture of Chakwal

The culture of Chakwal is mostly like Punjabi culture of the whole province. The main language is Punjabi but in schools, colleges, and offices, Urdu is used to communicate. English is also used in some modern institutes but mostly Urdu is used. Our cultural dress is Shalwar and Kameez. It is mostly used in villages and at homes. But now Pant and shirts are getting famous among the new generation. In schools, pant shirt is used as the uniform. In offices and institutes pants and shirts are used mostly.
Foods in Chakwal

Our people are very famous in cooking. Mostly wheat is used in foods. Rice dishes are also very famous. Some modern people are now familiar with Chinese and English foods but mostly common foods which are prepared by wheat, chicken, beef, butter, and rice is cooked and served.
Living style
People mostly live in the joint family system in our city Chakwal. Most families in the villages are living jointly but nowadays due to jobs and work people are shifting to other locations. But their living style is same.

This was a brief introduction to Chakwal city. Now I would like to tell you some beautiful places and visiting points of Chakwal.
Kalar Kahar

A beautiful point with lake and tomb of Saint is located almost 25km away from Chakwal on the Khushab Road. This visiting point has various locations inspired by nature and has completely a beautiful atmosphere filled with natural trees and mountains. Kalarkahar has many beautiful locations which are visited by people. Children play lift, boating and many other facilities like hotels and restaurants are available here. The great Emperor Babar also stayed here while traveling to Delhi. He addressed his force here and that location was later known as Takht e Babri. It is situated on a mountain and has a very beautiful view. Fresh water is available here in the mountains and a beautiful lake with boating facility is also available here for visitors. Kalar Kahar picnic points are controlled by Government. Motorway M2 interchange is also here so it is very easy to come here.
Katas Raj

Katas is a small town which is located near the Choa Saidan Shah city. This is very old town and has various old and historical buildings which are connected to Hindu religion. Hindu people were living in this town before the separation of 1947. After separation Hindus migrated to India. Their buildings were left and the government made them historical and still the Hindu people from India come here to worship. These buildings are very ancient and amazing. Visitors from all over the world also come here to visit these buildings and the location. The government provides special facilities to the visitors and Hindus who come here. Katas is getting more familiar because the government is working here to make this place beautiful and attractive for visitors. Now the entire old area is captured by a boundary wall to protect it and only one gate is available now. Overall I’ll suggest that this place is awesome for visitors.
Choa Saidan Shah

Choa Saidan Shah is also a beautiful place in the Chakwal. It is very near to Katas Raj and almost 35km away from Chakwal city. Choa Saidan Shah is very famous due to a saint of Allah is buried here. Baba Saidan Shah was the very gentle person who taught religious education to the people of this area. After his death, he was buried here. Every year a special event is organized here to remember his kindness and teachings. Choa Saidan Shah is also very famous because it is filled with beautiful lakes and mountains. Coal is one of the most famous minerals here. A huge coal is collected from the mountains and sent to different areas of Pakistan.
Small Dams in Chakwal
Small dams are made in different areas of Chakwal to provide water facilities and to store rainwater easily. These dams are also very attractive and have wonderful views. People on vacations go there to spend their holidays and for refreshment too. Dhok Tahlian Dam is located on Choa Saidan Shah Road Chakwal. It is very beautiful and wonderful location as shown in the following picture.

Kot Raja Dam is also near Dhok Tahlian Dam. It is very beautiful and amazing place. Here is a snap to show you its view.

Other dams like Khokhar Zer Dam, Dharabi Dam, Maswal Dam and Khanpur Dam are also very attractive and visited routinely.
