INGREDIENTS:
- 20 Okra (or Lady Fingers – preferably long ones)
- 3 Cubes Processed Cheese (Grated)
- 1/2 Cup Flour (Maida)
- 1/4 Cup Cornmeal
- 1 Tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1 Tsp Oregano Seasoning
- 1 Tsp Basil
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Large Egg
- 1/4 Cup Milk
- 1/2 Tsp Vinegar
- Salt to Taste
- Refined Oil for Deep Frying
- Water as needed
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Slit the Okra lengthwise, remove the seeds and fill it with grated cheese
- Make a batter for fritters with Flour, Cornmeal, Oregano, Basil, Chilli Flakes, Garlic Powder, Salt, Egg, Milk, Vinegar and water (as needed).
- Heat the oil in a wok.
- Dip the okra in the batter so that it coats completely.
- Deep fry on medium to high flame till golden brown.
- Drain and serve hot with dips. (mustard sauce and mayonnaise will do).
