CHICKEN AND POTATO CURRY
It is different recipe which I am going to share with you and it’s my favourite dish. In this recipe I will use sweet potatoes it’s optional you can use potatoes available to you. Potatoes with be very softy and smooth. It is for 6-7 people cooking time is approximately 40-45 minutes and is so much delicious. Give a try to this hearty dish and enjoy the restaurant style dish at home.
INGREDIENTS
- Chicken 1kg
- Potatoes 5-6
- Tomatoes 2-3
- Onion 2 medium size
- Ginger garlic paste 1 table spoon
- All spice powder 1 table spoon
- Red chillies powder 1 table spoon
- Turmeric powder ½ table spoon
- Salt to taste
- Yogurt 4-5 table spoons
- Cumin seeds 1 table spoon
- Cloves 2-3
- Dry coriander 1 table spoon
- Fresh coriander leaves 1 bunch
- Green chillies 2-3 chopped
- Oil 5-6 table spoons
METHOD
- Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds, cloves and let them to pop.
- Add chopped onion and fry it for 2-3 minutes.
- Now add chicken and fry till golden brown.
- Add red chillies, turmeric powder, salt, potatoes and yogurt fry it.
- Now add tomatoes and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
- Now add 2 cup of water so that the potatoes and chicken are tender.
- Add chopped coriander chopped green chillies and cover the pan for 4-5 minutes.
- When potatoes are softened and chicken is completely tender turn of flame and sprinkle the all spices powder.
- Serve with nan or rice. Garnish with green coriander and slice of ginger.
