Chocolate Biscuits

1cup unsalted butter(softened at room temperature)
5Tsp sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1egg.
21/2 cups plain flour
1Tsp corn flour (cornstarch).
Dark chocolate for designing.


With an electric mixer, cream butter and icing sugar together until pale and fluffy. 

Add the vanilla, egg and beat for a few seconds.
Sift the flour and corn flour together over the butter mixture and mix until smooth.

Keep in refrigerator for 1 hour so the dough holds together.
Divide the dough into three portion , to one add 1tsp raw cocoa powder and knead , the second 1tsp Nescafe powder and knead , the third portion leave it with the same color. or you can add Pistachio’s on it . This step is optional .

Bake the cookies in preheated oven at 180C for 12 minutes or until they are a pale golden color.

Leave for a few minutes on the baking tray to firm up slightly before transferring to wire rack to cool. Design it the way you like
