The feud between R&B singer Chris Brown and Canadian rapper Drake continues. The two musicians are suing each other over their June 14, 2012 fight at W.I.P., a popular Soho night club.
Brown and Drake responded to each other by both filing law suits asking the judge to blame the other for the conflict. This is the first time they have officially filed a lawsuit against each other. At the time of the melee TMZ reported that Brown and his entourage butted heads with Drake, whose singles “Fancy” and “Over” are often played in nightclubs.
Also partying at W.I.P. that night was the Queen of R&B Mary J Blige, NE-YO and Fabolous.
Apparently the fight started when Brown sent a bottle of champagne over to Drake’s table. Drake’s party took offense to that gesture and confronted Brown’s entourage. Both Brown and Drake have had romantic encounters with Pop singer Rihanna and its possible words were exchanged involving Brown’s past relationship with her.
A total of five people were injured during the melee at the nightclub, according to the New York City Police Department.
