This is a CIRCUIT - STYLE  GARDEN  that used to bring seawater through the SUMIDA RIVER  (  currently by  artificial means ) . 

 

The garden is located inthe remains of the residence of  HONJO INABANOKAMI , the  domain head of TANGO MIYAZU .

It came into the hands of ZENJIRO YASUDA of the former YASUDA ZAIBUTSU in  1889 , and was donated to TOKYO CITY in  1992 .

It is now open to the public free of charge as a ward park .
