A healthy, nutritious seafood soup with vegetable can help breastfeeding moms to increased their milk; this is good source of Iron,Calcium,Magnesium, plus Multivitamins. A one dish that completes all your needs in one eating. This is also good to serve with the sick persons and in cold/winter season.
Ingredients:
- 1 kilo local clams from the Lake- I used a clam called Tulya but you can also use other clams as optional.
- 1 medium-sized Ginger, cut in Julianne cut style
- 1 medium-sized red Onion, cut into 8 parts
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
- 2 cups Moringa Leaves
- 7 cups Water
- Fish Sauce- amount is accordingly to your taste
- Cooking Oil for sauteing
Optional-semi or unripe Papaya slices can be added but this is not recommended to always eaten by a pregnant (often eating of unripe papaya can cause miscarriage)and breast feeding mom (it can caused stomach upset for the newborn) Adding papaya only much advisable for constipated person.
Procedures:
Saute ginger in cooking oil until slightly brown, then add the onion and garlic, continue stirring until turns slightly brown before adding the clams and vegetables,fish sauce and water. Simmer until all the clams are open and vegetables are cooked. Serve while it is hot, best paired with plain rice.
