Coroplast yard signs:
Step 1:

Dust off as much of the dirt as possible, use a cloth or duster.
Step 2:

Make up a solution 50% water and 50% vinegar, put the solution into a spray bottle and spray onto the sign.

Sandblasted yard signs:

Use a garden hose, hose the yard sign with a spray of water to remove most of the dirt.
Step 2:

Rub any dirt left with a cloth.
Step 3
-
If it still looks grubby depending on the type of paint that has been used, you could apply some rubbing alcohol. Before you do the whole sign test a small portion to check it does not strip the paint.
Vinyl yard signs:
Step 1:
-
Newly created yard signs don’t attempt to clean the surface for approximately 2 to 5 days after creation. The reason is to ensure that the moisture trapped underneath the vinyl has evaporated.
Step 2:
-
After 2 to 5 days you can safely wash your sign, using just water wipe it clean if it’s not too dirty.
Step 3:
-
You could also try a mild solution of water and dishwasher to get some stains off.
Step 4:
-
If the stains are difficult to remove then you could use rubbing alcohol.
ADA Plaque acrylic yard signs:
Step 1:
-
Dust off any dust with a cloth or rag.
Step 2:
-
Add some dishwasher liquid directly onto a sponge, wipe over the surface.
Step 3:
-
If stains are stubborn, then rub with the sponge until they are lifted.
Step 4:
-
Rinse the sponge and wipe the sign clean.
Powder coated signs:
Step 1:
-
Dust off any loose dirt with a cloth.
Step 2
-
Put some Dupont white polish on the surface of the sign.
Step 3:
-
Hand rub the sign until the milky surface has gone.
Step 4:
-
If you like you can also coat the sign with some turtle wax.
Tips:
-
Your signs will be easier to clean if dealt with on a regular basis, and much harder to clean if left unattended over a long period of time.
Warnings:
-
When using any chemical such as rubbing alcohol always test a small surface in a not too obvious place to check that it does not remove the paint.
