In a tragic incident of coal mine collapse which occurred at Lalmatia opencast coal mine in Rajmahal area of Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) in Godda last night, ten coal miners died and 40 more are feared trapped. All the dead bodies have been recovered and some persons have been hospitalised with injuries. Teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), CRPF and CISF have been deployed and rescue and search operations are still on to find other workers who might be trapped.
