Hackers hackers hackers, we always hear about them in Hollywood movies, news, internet almost every where but the question is who are they and what do they really do.

 

Some say hackers where naturally born, others also have a mindset that hacker are mostly involved in illegal activities who break into computer systems just to access personal information about others.

 

Well, although some of these misconceptions might be true some are really not the fact, that is why i have taken it upon myself to describe and identity some of the common misconceptions that people have about hackers.

 

So, lets start by first answering these questions.........................

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hackers are computer experts who spend most their time in discovering holes within operating and security systems and also finding reasons for those holes to actually prevent them.

 

In short, they are security experts and their intention is to protect data and not the other way round. Moreover most people contradict hackers to crackers which is very wrong.

 

Cracker are rather responsible for breaking into security of networks, web servers and systems, and having unauthorized access they destroy vital data.

 

Most people and even in most Hollywood movies we watch always get this wrong by describing "Hackers" as "Crackers".

 

They are two different people all together and i don't see the reason why they should be compared as people with the same characteristics.

 

In my opinion a hacker can also break into security systems and exploit them but i think those people shouldn't be called "Hackers", they should rather be called "Crackers".

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most hackers being it a "White Hat" or "Black Hat", hacker all use the same tools for their own purposes . Whiles most of this tool are IP related tool some were also made for password purposes. Tools like

Hackers ain't magicians, or superhuman with a brain greater than 2k, it just simple and this is how they become who they are.

 

Real hackers have this over-riding characteristics that cannot be taught and it is very innate to them.

 

It's just simple again that they become who they are because they love what they do(passion).

 

Their passion always drive them to read, learn and always ask questions with the curiosity of knowing how computer software and systems really works and also figure out certain uncommon methods of solving most security issues.

 

One does not learn to hack by watching video, most of them are programmers and they spend most of their time in understanding how languages and programs really speaks.

 

 

 

 

The originated term for "hacking" simply means "Hack a piece of software together" or "Hack some piece of code together" while this term actually has a goal to accomplish, it does not literally mean that if you can just write a bit of HTML and JAVASCRIPT code to throw up a website makes you a hacker.

 

"NO" a true hacker in an original term happens to be someone who hacks together a piece of code or software to make two things work and play nicely.

 

Bridging gaps and solving hard security problems like breaking into securities to identify holes and bridge holes in systems is what i term as "Hackish"

 

 

 

Hackers ain't wizards, as a matter of fact, there are no magic in hacking, It's just a lot of knowledge, science, techniques, experience and maybe strategy that makes one a hacker.

 

It like a medicine, the more you take it in, the more you become strong and powerful.

 

Since hackers know more and have more knowledge in programming, hackers are people who are more familiarize with programming languages and are more of into social engineering.

 

Too much learning and studying of programming behaviors makes them what is they are.

 

 

 

Hackers use backdoor and purposely built software to hide their status and detail whenever they attack your computer.

 

They only target smaller businesses because they know that those companies do not have the right resource to invest in their website's security advancement.

 

 

 

Remember what i said earlier on that hacking involves identifying certain uncommon method to actually solve weaknesses in system and software security issues.

 

As a matter of fact, hacking does not require any kind of laid down rule like the Pythagoras theorem, it's more unless like using other strategies and uncommon method in solving particular problem.
