Getting Mikey out of Rascals’, on numerous nights, without getting anyone hurt was considered an accomplishment and his most memorable feat. Mike speaks of the Tangle Wood boys, a group of Italian mobsters from Yonkers, and how they came into the uptown Rascals one night with a sawed off shot gun hidden under a rain coat. The Tangle Wood Boys have been around since the 1970’s as a start up for the Lucchese crime family .They got their name because of the busy shopping strip mall they frequented on Central Ave. They made the news in 1994 when a few of them were arrested for the murder of college student Louis Balancio at a Yonkers sports bar.
