Most teenagers as soon as they turn 17 years old want to learn how to drive. It's not cheap though to buy lessons and pay for the tests.
A report out today says on average it costs over £1000.
Most lessons cost between £20-£25 per hour and they say you need around 47 lessons according to government research.
On top of the lessons learners have to take a theory exam which costs about £25 and then the actual driving test which is £62-£75
People are finding it more difficult to be able to afford to learn to drive and are waiting until later in life to learn.
Once young learners have passed there test they then face the financial burden of high insurance premiums which can run into thousands of pounds.
