Cricket history in Pakistan
Pakistan’s cricket history is very old and it starts before the Pakistan has come on the map of world and this area was under the British law. The first match was introduced by British between two teams, Australia and Sindh. It was played in the ground of Karachi on 22 November, 1935. Round about five thousand people were there to see the match. After the formation of Pakistan this game was introduced in other cities also and got much popularity. PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) is the official member of ICC (International Cricket Council) and ACC (Asian cricket council). They control all the local competitions. After the creation, Pakistan has build up too many famous batsman and bowlers who are playing now ICC international cricket matches.

Quaid-e-Azam trophy is very popular competition in Pakistan’s local cricket tournaments. From the year 1953 to 2011, it was played of total 55 times. Karachi is the number one team who won this tournament of total 21 times. The number second team is National Bank who won this tournament of total 6 times. PIA is the number third team who won this cup of total 5 times. Lahore lions won this tournament of total four times, and they are on number four. UBL bank is on number 5 as they won this tournament of total 4 times. Bahawalpur is on number six as they won this tournament of total 3 times. ICC Cricket Records of Pakistan
Pakistan has too many best records in all formats of international cricket like ODI (One day international), Test matches and Twenty20 matches. Pakistan has won the ICC world cup in the year 1992 against England. The captain of the team was Imran Khan. After seven years they again got success and arrived in the final match of ODI world competition and became a runner up team. In the year 2007 they have performed well and successfully reach in the last round of ICC world Twenty20 match but unfortunately they won’t get success and became a runner up team.
