The word crime means a “ a grave offence which is punishable by the law” . Crimes usually emerge in reaction to certain harsh realities like poverty, lack of education, unemployment. These things are more common in large cities where it is quite difficult to earn livelihood by the lawful means and there is a large competition. The people who fail to fulfil their needs, wishes, desires and dreams by the right path fall astray and indulge in criminal activities like looting, killing, hurting, and harming their their fellow beings, indescrimate of young and old.

In my locality nowadays, the rate of crime is very high. Peace loving citizens are very afraid for their lives and property.

I hope that every citizen of the country abides by the rules and becomes responsible, sensible and law abiding. Only then the situation can be improved.
