Daal Mong

Today i am going to share with you a very simple easy and hearty recipe. Pulses ere not only healthy but their aroma attracts. Make this recipe ate home.

Ingredients

  •  Mong daal                                  1 cup          
  • Onion                                           1 medium size
  • Tomatoes                                    2
  • Ginger garlic paste                    1 table spoon
  • Cumin seeds                               1 table spoon
  • cloves                                           1-2
  • Red chili powder                         1 table spoon
  • Salt                                                 to taste
  • All spice powder                           1 table spoon
  • Turmeric powder                            1 table spoon
  • Green chili                                     1-2 chopped
  • Salt                                                   to taste
  • Oil                                                      3-4 table spoons

Method

  • Heat oil in pan, add cumin seeds, cloves and let them to pop.
  • Add slice onion let it to turn golden brown.
  • Now add tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste,salt and fry for 4-5 minutes till the oil leaves the the sides of pan.
  • Now add mong daal and fry it with few drop of water so that it does not stick the sides of pan.
  • Now add 1 cup of water, add chopped chilies and cover the pan on Dum for 4-5.
  • Turn off the flame when daal is softened sprinkle all spice powder.
  • Serve with nan rice or chapatti.
