Dahi baray (an Asian recipe)
Fritters:
Ingredients:
Gram flour
Finely chopped onion about 2 pieces
Green chili 2 pieces
Coriander chopped 1 table spoon
Salt as per taste
Turmeric powder half teaspoon
Cooking Method:
Mix all these ingredients in a big bowl and make a paste by adding water also. Then lift uneven mixture in your hand and pour into the hot oil. Fry until they become golden and are finely cooked from inside. Then to soften them, after taking them out from the oil soak them in boiling water for a few minutes. Drain the water and leave the fritters in a serving dish.
Sauce:
Ingredients:
Yogurt about 2 cups
Onion chipped very finely
Chaat masala one table spoon
Coriander powder
Salt as per taste
Cumin powder
Method:
Mix all these ingredients in proper proportions with the yogurt. Add a little water also. A nice thick mixture would be prepared.
Now pour the sauce on the fritters. The tasty dahi baray are finally ready.
