As I continue exploring the field of Artificial Intelligence, my interest grew even more and I became fascinated in learning more about it. I became more inquisitive, especially when there are many new terms and phrases that I encounter along the way. One of the phrases that I usually came across is 'data is the foundation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning'. What piques my interest most was that based on various researches conducted, the more data you have, the more likely that you will succeed in your AI endeavors.
While trying to learn about the different companies in the field of Artificial intelligence, I also developed an interest in discovering ways that could help us learn more about the field apart from knowing the people and companies behind this greatest invention of man.
When the topic was introduced in Bitlanders, I must admit that I don’t give it much interest at first. The reasons:
- I don’t much have knowledge on the subject.
- It’s difficult to learn something you are not aware of what value it would bring and when others are not doing it.
- I don’t have a clear purpose for doing it other than I could earn some amount.
It was after the implementation of the exclusive AI-Themed blogging that made me realized several things. One, giving more focus and time on a certain subject can yield a better result. Moreover, the more you go deep into the subject, the more you appreciate it.
I started appreciating every aspect of AI not only because I need to but because I realized its value. Slowly, it began to become part of me. When I encounter new terms, I would immediately research for it. I would devote time to learn every little thing about AI. The feeling is so amazing when you know you understand the words when you encounter those from various ways and sources. Among the things that am currently exploring are the data itself and its uses in the field of AI.
WHY DATA MATTERS?
When we have all data online it will be great for humanity. It is a prerequisite to solving many problems that humankind faces.
Robert Cailliau Belgian informatics engineer and computer scientist who, together with Tim Berners-Lee, developed the World Wide Web.
I remember one of my professors in college who was teaching Mathematics. She won't consider your solution if you can't present the needed data given on the problem. Meaning, even if you got the right answer for the given problem but you failed to identify and present the needed data, you will not earn credit for your hard work.
The abovementioned quote and what my college professor taught me both boiled down to the main context that data is the foundation in solving the problem.

SOME AI TERMS WORTH LEARNING
While browsing through my blog posts, I realized that there are still a number of terms and AI-related words which we need to give a deeper understanding. This is one of the reasons why I decided that alongside with my current series of blogs about the Top AI Companies in the World is to slowly explore and learn the different terms related to artificial intelligence. This will help us understand deeply its value that will give us a more concrete reason why we need to continue learning artificial intelligence.
