Day 1 - No Friends But The Mountains

Posted on at

(15/03/14) For part of a professional practice module I am currently doing at Staffordshire University in my second year, we have to get 80 hours worth of crewing for third years. The first shoot I was on was with third year, Eira Wyn Jones, a talented film maker and one with an eye for cinematography. I myself being interested in cinematography took the opportunity to shoot the behind the scenes for her film, giving me a chance to see how she worked and what i could learn from her to improve upon on myself. The first day was long but interesting as the film was being shot on a RED Epic. I did my best to document as much of it's use as possible. I think I got a lot of good footage to use on the on the first day as there was a lot going on and lots of locations, so hopefully a good variety.

The shoot started at 8am and finished at 9pm. Giving me 13 hours of crewing. A nice little dent in the work to be done.
