DEAD SEA (Part 1)

It is the most famous place in the word. Also famous with the name of lowest spot on earth.

Location

It is located between Jordan and Israel.

Area

It is spread over an area of 15.879 square miles.

History

Peoples knows the history of the dead sea.And different people know it from different names. The sea, The eastern sea or sea of Araba.

Joseph called it the “Asphaltic Sea”.

Arabs peoples called it the “Sea Of Loot”.

The Greeks called it “Dead Sea”.

Life near Dead sea

There are no living creatures are present here, or near its shore. Because salt covering everything in the dead sea. It has the saltiest nature in the world, and peoples come here and enjoyed a lot, because no one can dip in this water. Everyone is easily floating on the surface of the oceans because of its high density.

Dead sea water sources

• Water continuously comes towards the Dead Sea from the holy Jordan river.
• Water also comes from surrounding mountains.
• No rivers are originated from the Dead Sea.
• Rain falls on the Dead Sea are less than 50 ml / year!
