Diddy now owns Tequila company

Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs and Diageo, the world’s biggest distiller will work together to sell DeLeon Tequila in the United States.

The maker of Smirnoff created a joint venture with Combs to buy DeLeon without disclosing the purchase price, according to Bouncer Chronicles sources. Each party will own half of the brand, which makes Blue Weber Agave Tequila that retails from a suggested $120 to more than $1000 a bottle. The liquor is distributed in 18 US states.

The distiller has had a separate partnership with Combs for more than 6 years to marker his Ciroc Vodka. Since then vodka has expanded from 50,000 cases to almost 2 million. This was done by Comb’s relentless promotion of the alcoholic beverage.
