This week sees the release of the Directors and DOP commentary for my last short Falling. It features me and Anderson West talking out the visuals of the film. If you’re interested then please check out the video below.

I will be doing the directors commentary soon for release next week. I think what I would like to do from now on is try to get some video content released every week or at least every two weeks.

I have decided to do a mini short in between the mocumentary that I blogged about a couple of weeks back. The short will hopefully last around 60 seconds and is a similar feeling film to ‘I’ll Call You Back’. I actually did a recut of this, which was originally 2:20 for virgin media shorts, but I managed to get it down to 01:30 which I may upload soon

Hopefully this mini short will be done within the next month and then I will start work on the mocumentary straight away.

Recently I had the opportunity to go in and teach a class at university. This was a great experience and it was really nice to be able to pass on some of the lessons I have learned whilst filmmaking on to others. I think one of the things I tried to get across was don’t be afraid to make mistakes. I don’t think any film is perfect and I have never made a film that I didn’t wish there was something I could of changed about it, or if I had more time something more I could of done. A lot of the guys were really enthusiastic about filmmaking and I feel like I am seeing more and more young people these days that are getting in to film making, which is great!
