Easter is almost here.
String easter eggs is such a fun and simple craft. You need some string/yarn/thread, a small balloon, a small prize to put inside your ‘egg’ and glue &water. I have all those things already! You are also going to need something to pop your balloon with.
Here’s the tutorial from Instructables…
Some string (yarn) eggs for Easter are in, but this is a little different, they have little treats inside. Some were with small chocolate eggs in them. You can also place little toys or notes in as well, perfect for giving as gifts for Easter.
MATERIALS
1. You need string/yarn/thread and Small Balloons
2. small prize to put inside your ‘egg’
(chocolate eggs, small toys, short messages)
3. Glue & Water to have stiffened threads
PROCEDURES
To make these, the directions are essentially the same as the egg with yolk:
- Stretch the opening of the balloon and stuff you chocolate or item inside, I was able to fit two small chocolate eggs. It is best to use solid chocolate (the hollow ones may get crushed) and don't use pointy toys or they will tear the balloon.
- Inflate the balloon and tie the end tightly.
- Proceed to wrap the balloon with glue & water
- Hang from a string and place in a warm (not too warm or you'll melt your chocolate) dry spot to dry.
- Place newspaper underneath to catch any drippings also you may need to dab the bottom of the balloon as it dries.
1.Put small prizes inside the balloon
2.You may be able to fit a couple in the balloon.
3.Inflate the balloon
4.Assorted shades of blue embroidery thread.
5. Start Wrapping
6. Completed and ready to dry.
7.Pop the balloon
