- The food that reaches us covers a long journey. It is grown in fields, orchards and then it reaches the whole seller. From there to the retailer from where my mother buys and cooks for me. So I should not waste the food.
• Fruits and vegetables are expensive and their shelf life is less. So eat them and do not waste them.
• If we eat snacks before meal, we will not feel hungry to finish our food. Avoid snacks like chips, fizzy drinks before eating meals.
• When we go out on a picnic or a trip and we are left with some food or leftovers, do bring the food back, give it to needy rather than leaning it behind.
• There are a lot of children in our country who sleep without eating a meal. They cannot afford to get the kind of food we normally eat. Avoid wasting food; let it go to some such children.
• Eat meals at specific times so that the meal times do not fluctuate.
