It used to be that you would actually meet someone first before you spoke to them. THEN you called them or they called you. So, first conversations were in person and what you saw was what you got. 

Nowadays, with internet dating sites you meet the person in text first. You have your first conversations via text and sometimes the people you are texting with are hundreds of miles away.

Love really doesn't have any boundaries when it comes to distance. People talk through the written word for days, weeks, months and sometimes even years at at time. And, sometimes when you meet the person of your dreams, they aren't even close to the image you have created of them in your head. And, sometimes they are far better.
