Dominique Strauss-Kahn Sexual Assault Case, by Ambassador mo

Picture Tells the Story? – Apparently Not! After putting Dominique Strauss-Kahn through embarrassing “perp walk” and claiming to have physical evidence of forced sex, other victims in Europe and a very compelling case for sexual assault and attempted rape, the New York Prosecutor’s office dropped the charges and case against their “perpetrator.” Think it was a mistake in legality to put Strauss-Kahn through perp walk. The picture and claims of insurmountable evidence were intended to convict him even before the case was brought to court. It was also a mistake and mis-justice to drop the case, especially for the alleged victim, Naffisatou Diallo. There was undoubtedly sex involved. We anticipated that the prosecutors would do this, and frankly I think it has more to do with being overshadowed by Diallo and her lawyer rather than any mistruths on her asylum application. The Prosecutors came to like Diallo even less than DSK. (Read Our LAST ARTICLE – “Hotel Maid v Dominique Strauss-Kahn” - diplomaticallyincorrect.org/films/blog_post/hotel-maid-v-dominique-strauss-kahn-by-ambassador-mo/33515 ) The greatest consequences may be for other people in a similarly vulnerable position. If you’re an illegal immigrant or you have lied on your credit card application, don’t expect that the law will defend you with same vigor if you’re victim of crime - like a hotel worker assaulted doing her/his job. Diallo and Thompson will look to pursue their civil case with respect the alleged perpetrator – DSK. They have a good case, and I would expect DSK to try to settle. I have no qualms in Diallo collecting damages, as she was primary victim of sexual act and the sense of powerlessness. The first step in regaining one life in our US society is not to merely act like a victim but become empowered.  Shame on Prosecutors for Putting Strauss Kahn through “perp-walk” and trying to convict him before his case ever reached court!  Shame on Prosecutors for Dropping the rape case!  Shame on Prosecutors for not giving weight to broader consequences of dropping case upon and sense of helplessness before the law for the most vulnerable and disenfranchised in American society By Ambassador Muhamed Sacirbey Facebook – Become a Fan at “Diplomatically Incorrect” Twitter – Follow us at DiplomaticallyX
