Before I came to Dubai, I have thought that when there's a sandstorm, we will be in great trouble. But it was a different case because I realized that sandstorm is only dangerous when you are out in the streets. Most people in Dubai are just inside their offices and if they see a sign of sandstorm, they can always go inside any buildings available, malls and apartments.

Sandstorm doesn't really happen every now and then, it usually do when climate is about to change like when it is winter is coming, sandstorms happen. Then my first encounter was when my colleagues and I were about to go home from work, one of my Filipino colleagues has a car so we were in his car, I got the chance to take photos of what was going on when there was a sandstorm.

It isn't really that visible in the photo but in person, we definitely see the sands moving in different directions and it looks like dancing left to right and swirling around. 

One of the disadvantages of sandstorm is that it causes roads to be foggy and really blurry. It is required for one to drive slowly so to avoid accidents.

The photo shows that we were already in the city, earlier we were still in the deserted area where our office is located. The place was called Dubai Logistics City in Jebel ali. This one is already in Dubai Marina area.

While passing by an over pass along Dubai Marina, this is what we had seen. These are the buildings in the heart of Dubai and yet it looked like it is foggy but it is actually the sandstorm which had made it to look like one.

Again, it isn't really scary at all just as long as your clothes are not hanged outside your apartment which is also not allowed but some are doing so and so if they do have it outside then your clothes will get sands on it and you'll have to wash it again.
