This week at E3 we saw some great announcements. And here's another one!

 

LittleBigPlanet, one of the flagship games for Sony, is now debuting it's 3rd major title in the franchise. The new title introduces four-player co-op to the series, so Sackboy is now joined by new friends Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop. For the campaign mode, each character must use their abilities to help eachother get through the various levels. Oddsock is a dog-kind-of-creature, who can perform wall jumps and moves faster; Toggle can switch between a giant super-strong form and a tiny figure who can get though tiny paths, while Swoop can fly and carry others to higher areas. Sackboy himself enjoys a handful of new power-ups, including the Pumpinator, which is basically an airgun. This allows him to blast obstacles with air. He also has a new climbing ability which will add to the mechanics of the game.

 

 

It has also been confirmed that once again, the great Comedian and actor Steven Fry will also be lending his voice to the next title in the series. And as a LittleBigPlanet and also a Steven Fry fan, I can say that they both work brilliantly together. Throughout the week there has been several gameplay run-throughs, and it's looking like it's going to be more fun than ever.
