ECO(Economic cooperation organization) was formed in 1985.It is the success of RCD,which was formed in 1964 by Iran,Pakistan and Turkey.It was as inter-governmental association for economic development.
The first meeting held in Istanbul in 1990 and ECO fully lunched at 1991.
Structure.
The organs of ECO are as following.
1.The Council.
Within the council there is one council of ministers and other is a council of deputies.
2.Technical committee.
Technical committee here the council in technical matters.
3.The Secretariat.
Which is the principal office and where is secretary general sits.
4.Specialized agencies.
These agencies are formed to assist the working of the organization.
Feature of ECO.
Some of the salient features of ECO are.
1. All the member are muslium countries.
2. All are in geographically contiguity and share almost common borders.
3. All of them entry good relations with each other.
4. There is no political dispute between the members.
5. All are full of natural resources.
6. All of them have almost the same culture.
7. They all have almost the same historical backgrounds.
Economic steps taken by ECO.
ECO has taken up certain steps in economic spheres which are as follows.
1. ECO has taken measures to promote transport and communication in the member states.
2. To develop travel facilities for the member countries.
3. To creat interaction between the bussiness community of the member states through the ECO chamber of commerce.
4. ECO chamber of commerce has been established to provide give benefits to busnessman of ECO states.
5. ECO trade and development bank has been established purely for economic purposes.
6. ECO shipping company has been under consideration.
7. Similar goes for ECO airline.
8. Links by roads and rail is under discussion pak-iran-uzbak road chaman -herat road.
Problem faced by ECO.
Few problem faced by ECO which are following.
1. Political instibality and domestic unrest in most of the ECO states.
2. Rivalry between Iran and Turkey and both are not sincere with the organization.
3. Hostility amongst Pakistan and Iran on the question of Taliban in Afganistan.
4. Hostility between Pakistan and Afganistan regardin the trade route of CAR'S.
5. The hostile attitude of the west towards Islam.
6. The difference between the development level of the ECO countries.
7. Etttonic,linguistic and racial conflicts in the domestic sphere of ECO states.
8. The individual initiative than a forum.
Suggestions for the improvement of ECO.

In short ECO is a dynamic organization,It should be taken up with enthuriasm and idealism.It should be expanded to other Islamic states as well as the west has adopted a negative propaganda against Islam.So it has to come up with certain concerte measures and plans to with it.Intra-government links should be strengthness and all the hostilities are to be set aside for the sake of Islamin Ideology.
Certain measures has to be taken to make the ECO one of the strongest organizations of the world,politicaly,economically,militarlly,culturally.For this every state has to world ecternely hard with dedications and sincerity only then they can achieve their goals.
