Judging from tweets by both LGD's Ruru and former Team DK coach 71, the Ehome brand is about to make a comeback, ideally with the current LV-Gaming line-up that is attending the D2L LAN finals.
A few weeks ago, former Team DK coach 71 has stated in an interview that he is working to bring back the prestigious Ehome brand. GosuGamers reported previously that RedBull was interested to back-up 71's project financially, but apparently the high costs set the energy drink company off. Now it appears as if 71 will in fact bring back the Ehome brand.
According to tweets from both LGD's Ruru as well as from 71 himself, the return of Ehome seems to be only a matter of time.
Ruru:
Some people’s lives are destined to belong to a certain place. An example of that would be your weibo account, ehome71, and my cell phone and qq’s settings. So many years had passed without change. Legendary clubs cannot exist without legendary perseverance, this brand will need your continuous support.
71:
A new year! Aside from a cold and the weather getting better, everything is the same. The difference is: on the road of rebuilding ehome I have taken on more pressure and expectations. I want to encourage myself with this weibo post. And I wish everyone who supports Ehome good health.
The designated Ehome team is currently operating as LV-Gaming in the D2L LAN finals in Las Vegas. WithMushi and Ohaiyo as stand-ins, the mainly Chinese team is still under LGD management. Attempts to keep the squad and 71 under LGD's brand seem to have failed as the Ehome brand is set to return. In addition to the LV-Gaming roster, Invasion was part of 71's project as a 2nd team for Ehome, as well as taking numerous talented players in.
Whether the current LV-Gaming roster will in fact play for EHOME is not official yet, but it appears as if an announcement will follow after the D2L LAN.
