Eid Mubarak to one and all

Posted on at

After a month of abstinence during the holy month of Ramadan, Eid has arrived in the Muslim world, bearing the message of joy. Eid Mubarak to all our dear readers, contributors, advertisers, agents, well-wishers and everyone.
Holy Ramadan gives us the chance to cleanse our bodies and souls. It is the opportunity to give up all sorts of wrongdoings, injustice, hate, envy, jealousy and conflict, and to guide our lives along the path of goodness. The control we exercise during the month of Ramadan, helps us move away from any negative tendencies and excesses.
We must sincerely endeavour to reflect the spirit of Ramadan throughout the rest of the year. Let the joy of Eid-ul Fitr also be with us throughout the year.
During the Eid holidays, a large number of people from Dhaka city go to celebrate the festival with their families in their village homes. The passengers have already seen, or are beginning to see, whether the authorities have taken adequate preparation to ensure a safe journey for all. There is need for proper management to deal with the disorder and sufferings caused by the inadequate transport to cater to so many people, and also for the extra vehicular load on the roads and highways.
The highway police and highway traffic control authorities need to be alert. Buses and ferries shouldn't carry more passengers than capacity. The drivers must drive with caution.
If any vehicle breaks down or there is an accident, the road must be cleared immediately to avoid traffic jams.
Let the Eid-ul Fitr festivities be joyous.
