Eid ul Fitr & our visit to Katas and Salt mines Khewra

Hello friends

How are you all? I’m fine and hope everyone will be fine too. Ul is my 6th blog on bitlanders and today once again I’m here with my story which is about the celebration of Eid after the holy month Ramadan and our visit to Katas and Khewra salt mines.
So friends let’s take a start of our blog by knowing a little about Eid ul Fitr which comes after the holy month of Ramadan.

Eid-ul-Fitr:

This is a beautiful and religious event of Muslims which comes after the holy month of Ramadan. As we all know very well that in the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims observe fasting in the daytime and do worship for Allah to get special and double rewards. This holy month is a special blessing of Allah and every Muslim person tries his best to get the most out from this month.

At the end of this month, Muslims celebrate a special event which is known as Eid ul-Fitr. This event is blessed by Allah to the Muslims and our religion Islam also insists us to celebrate it because we have spent a whole month for Allah’s orders and this event is a reward from Allah for spreading joys and happiness among the people. On that day Muslims go to the ground and offer a special prayer which is known as Eid prayer. After offering this prayer, Muslims go to the fellows and meet them for greetings.

The celebration of Eid continues for 2 or 3 days. Special foods and dishes are cooked in the houses. Special dresses and accessories are bought for Eid.

Moon night (Chaand Raat):

On the last day of Ramadan and before the Eid morning, a special night which is known as moon night is celebrated everywhere. People go to the shopping malls for buying items and accessories for Eid and spend the whole night with happiness and celebrations. That night has now become a compulsory part of Eid celebrations. A huge crowd of people can be seen in the malls and shopping centers on that night. This special night is known as “Chaand Raat” in our Urdu language.

This was a brief introduction to Eid celebrations and moon night. Now I would like to tell you my Eid story.

On this Eid 2017:

This year we observed a very hot summer and we felt fasting very difficult as we know that in the hot season our body needs extra water. But in fasting condition, you are not able to drink a drop in the whole day till sunset. But with the blessings of almighty Allah, we spent the month with his kindness. After the Ramadan on 29th day, we went over the roofs and started blinking our eyes for looking the moon.

Moon is seen by our fellows:

While looking at the sky we found the moon and got confirmed through our friends, everyone was very happy because next day was Eid day. After some time, Speakers and news reporters on electronic media also announced that next day will be Eid.
It was brilliant news and we congratulated each other for Eid.

In the food street and shopping centers:

Now we planned to go in the city for visiting and enjoying moments of moon night. We went in the city and found that everyone was celebrating happiness and was congratulating each other. People were also buying foods, drinks, meat, chicken and special dresses for Eid day. We also went to the tailor for taking our dress for Eid. The almost half night was spent in the city and my father ordered us to come back to take some rest.

On the Eid morning:

It was 26th July and that was Eid day. We went for Eid prayer in an open ground, the whole ground was filled with a huge crowd. People were wearing pretty dresses and outfits. Everyone was happy and feeling the joy of Eid. At 7.30 Eid prayer got started and took an end on 8 AM. After it, people met with each other and congratulated for Eid. Now we came back home for eating foods and meals which were made especially for Eid celebrations.
After having the meal, we started making our plan for the trip.

Journey to Katas Raj:

Katas's temples are very beautiful and attractive. We were thinking to plan for it earlier but now our friends also decided to visit it first. We took our bikes and started traveling to Katas via Choa Saidan Shah Road. The weather was not so good due to summer but we continued our journey.

At Katas Raj:

We reached nearly at 12 o clock there. The almost whole area was filled with people. A huge crowd was trying to enter from the main gate.

Katas's temples are now getting more beautiful because the government has focused on it. Now the government is trying to make these old ancient buildings more beautiful. A special boundary wall is also built to prevent these buildings from any loss due to animals or outdoor activities. Boundary wall was also built due to security risk because every year Hindus come from India for worship.
We stayed there for 3 hours and then planned to move forward.

Going to Khewra:

Now we moved forward to Khewra road via Choa Saidan Shah. Khewra is almost 30 km away from here. Due to Eid, the road was filled with traffic. I think many people were going for visiting different places.
At last at 4 o clock, we reached there. Khewra city can be seen very clearly from the mountain. You can see the beautiful scenery of ICI factory which is also located here. ICI Company prepares Soda Ash here which is exported to different cities of Pakistan and also to other countries.
We felt that in the Khewra, the temperature was a bit higher than our area. Due to mountains, sunshine was at its peak here so the weather was hot enough.

At Salt mines Khewra:

Khewra salt mines are one of the oldest and I think largest mining area which gives us salt which is used in foods and drinks. Salt is also exported to other countries.
In the salt mine, the temperature was 18c and it was brilliant. We felt a bit cold here. In the salt mine, a special area is cleared for the visitors who come here. The government of Pakistan has made special rules and has worked a lot to make this location Almighty and attractive. You find amazing beauty here. The salt mine is now under PMDC (Pakistan mining department corporation). So they have arranged guides which are available here and will go with you for your briefing and knowledge. Security guards are also here for your safety. A special both is available here for issuing tickets. The ticket fee is equal for everyone.
We felt a special pleasure in the mining area. Everything was designed with salt in the mine. The light was also arranged for the visitors so that they can enjoy here completely.

At last nearly 7 pm we came back to home and our picnic was almost over. The journey was beautiful and everyone enjoyed a lot. It was really a memorable adventure of our life.

I swear that whoever will visit the mines, will enjoy it a lot. I hope that you will like my adventure.
Thanks for reading my blog. Wish you best of luck everyone.
