While the “Students of the Year” have graduated from their godfather Karan Johar’s school long time back but they are lagging far behind in exhibiting their skills. Rather they may be still tagged as the students struggling vehemently to reach their goals. Our dear Bhatt daughter though has demonstrated her talent in Highway to a great extent, but Siddarth and Varun are yet to catch up. Ek Villain though promised us to take for a ride into a suspense filled mysterious journey, but disappointingly it could not stand up to its commitments. Siddharth only hovers from ‘galliyan ‘ to ‘galliyan’ in search of his wife’s killer, whileRitesh goes on killing one after another woman as he cannot retort the abuses by his wife. The film could have imparted much more to our expectant audience with a sensibly designed plot. Shraddha poses to be an exaggeratingly kind hearted woman who unquestioningly comes into Siddharth’s life to reform him. With its predictable story chains since beginning to end none of the two villains succeeds in win the ‘galliyan’ of our hearts.
