Electricity Generation

Electrical energy has influenced our modern lifestyles so much that we are now unable to live without it and the demand for energy continues to grow every year. The total power generation capacity of Pakistan is about 23,538MW, with energy consumption having grown by about 80 percent in the last 15 years. According to the Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA), the country’s electricity demand will increase to around 40,000MW by 2020.Currently 65% of Pakistan’s electricity comes from burning fossil fuel, coal, oil and gas 31% of the total energy is generated from hydral and 4% is from nuclear . There is an Urgent need for renewable as existing power stations barely have enough Capacity to keep up with the growing demand and the supply of coal and gas is only expected to last for some years.

So, we are proposing a renewable source i.e. production of electricity by the movement of vehicles. In this project, magnets will be dig inside the road, when the vehicle comes over there, the magnet will sense it and starts its cylindrical movement and by with the help of some mechanical structure we will convert this cylindrical movement to rotary movement which will be mechanically coupled with generator, which will give pulses to the generator. Then there will be battery banks present which will store the energy produced and further energy will be given to our load. The laying of the present system, can be done during paving of new roads or in the course of the maintenance work in existing roadways, so it’s entirely retrofit table to any road, and the heavier the vehicles, the greater the number of vehicles, the greater the return, all the way to electricity production on an industrial scale.
