Today I am preparing to travel to Bangalore, India. This will be my first time in India and on the Asian continent. I will be apart of a small cohort of 5 intrapreneurs in Hyderabad, India. I will be working with SankalpTaru which is an environmental nonprofit. This organization is working to turn India green by addressing the issues of social erosion, rural livelihood, environmental preservation to name a few. SankalpTaru uses a patented online platform that is powered by GPS and social technologies. This enables individuals and organizations to plant trees from anywhere in the world and keep planters connected with their trees. I will be working with them on new initiatives and grassroots work in the local plantations. I am excited to meet the staff of Sankalp Taru and to be in India for the next 6 months.
