Emmy Awards announces nominees for 2013 edition
'Game of thrones' leads in 16 categories; Brazilian is on the race for the 1st time.
The TV Awards will be taken place on September 22 in the U.S.
in 2013 on Thursday (18).
The nominees for the 2013 Emmy Awards were revealed on the morning of Thursday (18) in an event broadcast live on the internet, presented by actors Aaron Paul of "Breaking Bad" and Neil Patrick Harris, who is also the master of ceremony . The 65th edition of the award focused on the productions of American television, will take place on September 22 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, United States.
The series "Game of thrones" and the miniseries "American Horror Story" lead the awards, competing on 16 and 17 categories, respectively. "Breaking bad" appears then between drama series nominated in 13 categories.
Exclusive production of Netflix (for streaming content service via internet),"House of Cards" became the first number online to receive an indication award for best series, played between nine categories. According to AFP, this type of program already is eligible for seven years. "Arrested Development", whose fourth season is Netflix, appears best actor in comedy series, with Jason Bateman, and in two technical categories.
"30 Rock," which said goodbye to viewers in January after seven seasons, leading the comedy series, with 13 nominations. "Modern Family" comes next, with 12. "Behind the candelabra" TV movie with Matt Damon and Michael Douglas competes in 15 categories, as well as "Saturday Night Live."
"House of cards" is nominated for the award for best drama series at the "Breaking bad", "Game of thrones", "Mad Men," "Downton Abbey" and "Homeland", while "The Big Bang Theory," " 30 Rock, "" Louie, "" Modern family "," Veep "and" Girls "are indicated in the comedy category. Candidates for the prize for best drama actor is Kevin Spacey, Hugh Bonneville, Jon Hamm, Damian Lewis, Bryan Cranston and Jeff Daniels.
Already indicated to the best actress award in the same category are Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth Moss, Claire Danes, Vera Farmiga, Kerry Washington, Robin Wright and Connie Britton. In the comedy category, the nominees are actors Alec Baldwin, Jason Bateman, Louis CK, Don Cheadle, Matt Leblanc and Jim Parsons.
In this same category, actresses displayed are Laura Dern, Lena Dunham, Edie Falco, Tina Fey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Amy Poehler. The Colombian Sofia Vergara hits his fourth consecutive nomination as best supporting actress in a comedy for her character Gloria Delgado on "Modern Family."
Thats gonna be a very nice and important awards to see and it have a lot of TV series, Actresses and Actors renowed and some not so knwoledge by the public but it will be remarkable because of the first time a Web series is nominate and a Brazillian actress too, so its a must to see on the television (cable TV).
