5.55pm That's the end of a day that belongs to Australia despite the two wickets late in the day. The first wicket came early enough, some 15 minutes into the day, but then Burns and Smith added a record third-wicket stand for Australia v New Zealand. It was proper Test-match batting for the 289-run stand. Burns scored his first century away from home, and Smith moved to century No. 14. They hardly looked troubled even though you have to give it to New Zealand that they didn't bowl loose balls and that they stayed vigilant in the field. On a pitch that had flattened out it could have been far far worse against batsmen in such good form. Australia, though, will have their eyes on the lead tomorrow. If they can help it, they would want to bat just once. We will see how it goes tomorrow. Same place, same time

Wagner to Lyon, no run, oh this final ball is a goodie. Into the ribs, Lyon has to fend at it, but he manages to keep it down

Wagner to Lyon, no run, this is a good bouncer. Shoulder high, at the stumps, but he ducks under it safely

Did Lyon just yawn? Anyway, Wagner goes over the wicket

109.4
Wagner to Lyon, no run, another short ball missing the line, and left alone easily outside off
109.3
Wagner to Lyon, no run, similar length but slightly wide outside off, and he stays inside the line of it

A silly mid-off comes in too

109.2
Wagner to Lyon, no run, another fend, this time more towards the off side. Keeps it down again
109.1
Wagner to Lyon, no run, short of a length, angling into the ribs, makes him fend. That is what he wants Lyon to do. But Lyon has kept this down this time

Voges is done for the day. Up to Lyon to face the last over now. Wagner to bowl round the wicket
