End of over 8 (8 runs) India 50/2 (89 runs required from 12 overs, RR: 6.25, RRR: 7.41)

V Kohli22 (17b 4x4 0x6)
SK Raina12 (14b 1x4 0x6)
PVD Chameera1-0-8-0
NLTC Perera1-0-5-0
7.6
Chameera to Kohli, 1 run, short on middle stump, steps across it and plays a controlled swat-pull down to long leg
7.5
Chameera to Raina, 1 run, short down the leg side, steps across and pulls to long leg

Paul-E: "@Tushar: SL already played and won against UAE in this tournament. They have only one more match, that is against Pak. Please check facts before publishing comments." -- Whoops. My bad.

7.4
Chameera to Kohli, 1 run, shortish, close to off stump, lets it come on, meets it under his eyes, dabs to third man
7.3
Chameera to Kohli, FOUR, fullish outside off, and wow, what a sound the bat made as it punched that ball between short cover and mid-off. Just showed it the full face, barely any follow-through, just punched through the line
7.2
Chameera to Raina, 1 run, back of a length on middle stump, a bit of extra bounce. Raina gets on his toes and works it away through backward square leg
7.1
Chameera to Raina, no run, and immediately he beats the edge. Poor footwork from Raina, pressing forward to a shortish ball angling across him, and opens his bat face to try and dab it to third man

Here's Chameera.

Tushar: "I believe Sri Lanka still have a slim chance of qualifying even if they lose this contest. If they win both their remaining games by big enough margins (which is not impossible against UAE and Pakistan) then they only have to bank on Pakistan beating Bangladesh and then go through to the finals on net run rate."

Kapil: "How on earth is Matthews a good captain? What's the point of holding Chameera and Herath back? Get Kohli and knock half of India side. Not sure for what is he waiting?"

Vamsi: "@Venx: I would also like to see battles between bat and ball. But looks Dhoni doesn't like the idea of having grass on the wickets and I bet, he likes to have big boundaries to assist his spinners. Need to see how curators feel."

Srinivas: "This is why Kohli is the best batsman in the world. He negated the swing from Kula, by stepping down the track and taking the balls on half volleys, there by giving no chance for a swing. Brilliant"
