The environmental issues are one of the most important areas of modern life. Due to the exploitation of the environment over many centuries our planet today is facing many dangers such as extinction of species, depletion of natural resources, global warming and the depletion of the ozone layer.
This means the wiping out of species completely from the planet. Many species of animals have disappeared from the planet in the past and some animals face this danger today. These include the giant panda, snow leopard and green sea turtles (such species are called endangered species).
Ozone is a gas in the atmosphere that protects our planet from the dangerous radiations of the sunlight. It is a special form of oxygen and can be destroyed by harmful chemical substances like CFCs (Chloroform Carbons) emitted form some aerosol of sprays, air conditioners and refrigerators.
Protecting the environment is the duty of the whole world. We must remember that we have only one planet to live on and it belongs to everyone including those who are not yet born. We must leave this planet in such a condition that the future generations may also enjoy its wonders and have a nice life.
