Plastic bags are used every day to carry goods all over the world it is estimated that only in America about 1 million bags are used by people per day. Mostly people think that plastic bags are harmless and they possess no harm to environment hut these plastic bags are harmful more than a bomb, theses bags are providing a great threat to human and environment.

 

These bags are mostly made up of hydrocarbon especially benzene derivatives which are when burn just not pollute the air but they are also the main source of many diseases the human are facing today. Mostly the recycling of plastic is limited and many bags filling the land which are destroying the beauty of world. These bags when enter into drainage system; they also block the pipes and sewage system causing many problems. The flood of Bangladesh is also   one of the example of floods caused by plastic bags.

Plastic bags are also one of the biggest threats to the animals especially for marine animals. Mostly when they are en gulf by the animals they go to their digestive system and block the whole system due to which many species are in danger. There are many places in oceans where human has not reached yet but plastic bags are present there. According to research about more than 20 thousands species of marine birds are in danger and are at edge of extinction
