United Arab Emirates based Etisalat Telecommunication Company is awarded Afghanistan’s first trial 4G network.
The 4G service works five times faster, according to the Head of Etisalat Afghanistan, Ahmad Hussaini.
Etisalat was the first firm to introduce 3.75G internet service in Afghanistan.
Etisalat is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world and the leading operator in the Middle East and Africa, headquartered in the UAE. Etisalat operates in 18 countries across Asia, the Middle East and Africa, servicing over 135 million customers out of a total population of approximately 1.9bn people.
The firm stated its operations in Afghanistan in August 2007.
