Abortion is illegal in Pakistan and so is fornication but everyday many of people go into the relation and creating a situation where every year many children born out of illegitimate union are murdered secretly and their bodies are thrown out in the garbage in the night.

 

A child is born and none from his family seems to be happy. The little angel is still smeared in blood, nurse pass this baby to girl’s mother and she press the thumb against the little neck of that newborn and suffocates him to death and put his body in the garbage, this is not just story of one newborn, it became the fate of about one thousand and ninety newborns just in the large cities of Pakistan last year, the static is more high in whole Pakistan.

Pakistan is a religious country having population of about 180 million and pre marriage relation is consider as taboo in Pakistan and having a baby from a pre marriage is a bigger taboo. According to the Islamic law the people who caught in the act of fornication should be stoned to the death. And in Pakistan usually the relatives of the couple do this job. Mostly in ninety percent of these cases we have witnessed the murder of girl and his child.

The welfare organization which work in the whole country named as Edhi Foundation stated that just in last year about 1134 children were murdered in just large five cities of Pakistan and their bodies are dumped into the garbage, one of the member of trust said in his interview that during his six year of career he has witnessed many newborn bodies hanged to the ceiling. Last Friday I have witnessed a newborn burnt body in remote area of Islamabad.

Edhi center has started an organization known as “jhola” which means cradle in English to encourage people to not kill these little angels but just put in Edhi Foundation cradles in the night. Though abortion is illegal in Pakistan, as it is evil to kill a child but on other hand everyday hundreds of newborns are killed just because they have a label of a illegitimate baby
