NBA player and former New York Knick Chris Copeland along with his wife and another woman were stabbed early Wednesday morning outside of Chelsea hot spot 1OAK, according to Bouncer Chronicles. Police sources said Copeland, 31, was arguing with his wife outside the club on West 17th Street around 4AM when a 22 year-old suspect interrupted them. Copeland told the man to get lost. The suspect then pulled a knife and stabbed the ex-Knick in the stomach.He then turned the blade on Katrine Saltara, Copeland's wife, stabbing her in the breast, buttocks and arm. Another woman who knew the stabber was also attacked.
2 players from the Atlanta Hawks were also taken in police custody after they refused to leave the crime scene. Pero Antic, 31, was charged with obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct. Thabo Sefolosha, 30, was charged with resisting arrest as well as obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.
