Hello Annex'rs!
It's been a couple of weeks since I've been active on this platform but for a very good reason!
Myself and fellow filmannex'rs, Sorcha Anglim, Andy Parker and Jack Tew made a big change in our lives and decided to venture to the North of England where un-ironed shirts blend in nicely in the city of Manchester!
It is our aim to fuse our creativeness, bounce our ideas and ignite some passion back into what we've always enjoyed doing... and we already have a juicy portfolio of concepts...
Filmannex has helped to make this adventure possible so a huge thanks to them and keep a look out for some new and exciting material!
The new pad!
In the meantime, I have had my 1st experience working within TV as a commercial runner and I have to admit, boy it was hard work!
Long hours, thrown in the deep end, forced to use my initiative, a true test of common sense (luckily I discovered I had some) becoming very close to tears but in all honesty, I think I enjoyed it. I certainly learnt a lot at least.
My tips: -
Never underestimate the value of tea and coffee. (I became liked and when you become liked, people want to help)
Always carry a pen and a bit of paper.
"Need a hand?" should be your most common question.
NEVER assume (Sorcha Anglim's tip...she was totally right)
Don't be so eager to leave set when you hear 'Wrap', stay and help....become liked!
Wear pockets, lots of them.
Take things on the chin, you're going to be nagged at and I found it hard at 1st but it kickstarts your initiative.

ON SET - Sometimes it's pretty :)
THAT'S a WRAP!
