"Exit" is an animated short film done by 6 graduates from The One Academy, Malaysia. It is our graduation short film.

After settling down with our story, we proceeded to the concept art for the film.

 

MIKE

We wanted to make him tall, lean and mean. A typical grumpy debt collector. We tried to push the limits on his design to make him appear more stylized.

MONSTER

We wanted to design our monster to be the opposite of Mike, HUGE. Initially we wanted to make him intimidating but changed our mind because we want the audience to love the machine more than Mike. So we made him a gentle giant, complete opposite of Mike not just in terms of size, but character.

 

CAR

We wanted to design Mike's car in a typical 2D animation way with it's exaggerated parts and seemingly having a personality.
